Artist’s Apprentice

SUMMER CAMPS

 ~2016~

 

Young artists will get the chance to express themselves artistically using many different materials and

mediums to create their own masterpieces.  We will learn about traditional sketching, charcoal, pastel painting, watercolor and acrylic techniques and styles, while being inspired by famous Artists. Students will also paint “Plein Air” (a French term for painting outdoors in the “open air”). All camps will include drawing and painting with a variety of materials.

 

  We will enjoy a fresh and interesting approach to all of our creative projects. We will create artwork on a variety of surfaces paper, canvas, slate, wood…etc.  Jewelry making, Sculpture, repurposed objects in art, animation/cartooning, decorative painting, music & creative yoga movement are some of the camp activities students will experience. We will also have group activities that the students will interact with each other while creating different works of Art (large canvas / collage that all class participates in)

ZOE’S ODDZ & ENDZ Gallery is a private Gallery that provides a unique setting to inspire students artiscally when taking instruction. We are able to be very flexible with scheduling and the needs of our students and their families.  We can discuss with you any needs that your family may have to see if we are able to meet them to your satisfaction. We do retain the right to refuse some students if we feel that we are not going to be able to meet their needs appropriately. We will do everything possible to provide a safe and enlightening experience for your family member but ALL FAMILIES MUST SIGN A WAIVER BEFORE THE START OF YOUR CAMP DATE!!!!

Art  “One-day”  themed Workshops are two hour sessions. Materials are included in Cost unless otherwise specified in class description.         

 

5:30pm - 7:30pm           AMERICANA WORKSHOP                                                                     COST 35.00

In celebration of our American Heritage we will get patriotic with a project that will be true to the red white and blue! In this fun class students will create art that is inspired by the Pop Artists Peter Max and Andy Warhol & Jasper Johns.

 

 

5:30pm – 7:30pm         CREATIVE IDEAS FOR REUSE IN JEWELRY MAKING                            COST 35.00 + ADDITIONAL MATERIAL FEE 10.00 

In this unique work shop students will create a pendant necklace with beading using various materials that they will choose.

 

          

5:30pm - 7:30pm          10 MINUTE MEALS & MOVIE REELS                                                      COST 35.00 

Hey kids! This evening will be a tasty one! You will learn how to prepare some easy little snacks that you can make yourself and while we complete our culinary creations we’ll kick back and enjoy our treats and watch a short film!

 BRING 100% COTTON ITEM TO THIS WORKSHOP !!!!!!! Bring a T-shirt, scarf, white cotton cloth not to exceed 3’x3’, white jeans, or whatever you want, MUST BE 100% COTTON!
